Best manual you can get but not perfect

Don't even think of buying a Haynes manual if there is one of these for your car - they cost much the same and there is far more useful detail (none of this please refer to a VW dealer for just about every job you are likely to need a manual for). There is one problem for UK users - these are written for the US and thus some things specific to UK versions are missing or different. Does not cover every job you might need to do but is 90% there.

looks good from far but far from goodReview date: 1999-08-18 Rating: 4 out of 10As the title says, the book cover looks nice and the book is thick, however, I bought it for a problem on the airco system and before I started out, I thought I was backed by the book until I started working on the car. It gives explanations for instance in general how the airco (and besides, all the other systems)work, but the in-depth technical help is not there. So, I did not like the book, it is too general.
